The app supports: Checking, Savings, Cash, Credit Card, Loan, Investment, Crypto, Vehicle, and Other.

Add with text

Quick entry function using natural language. Type a phrase (e.g., "20 euros at Mercadona yesterday") and the app automatically extracts amount, category, merchant, and date.

Adjust Balance

Function to correct an account's balance to match a bank statement. The app automatically creates an adjustment entry to cover the difference.

Amortization

The process of paying off a debt in periodic installments. Each payment includes a portion of principal and interest. The app automatically generates the amortization table for Loan-type accounts.

APR (Annual Percentage Rate)

An indicator of the true cost of a loan or credit expressed as an annual percentage. Includes interest and fees.

Asset

Any resource with economic value: bank accounts, investments, real estate, vehicles. In the app, Checking, Savings, Cash, Investment, and Crypto accounts are considered assets.

Balance

The current amount in an account. For debit accounts it's positive (available funds). For loans and credit cards it's negative (money owed).

Bill

A payment that repeats at a regular interval (weekly, biweekly, monthly, bimonthly, quarterly, annual). The app detects bills automatically by analyzing patterns in imported transactions. Managed in the Bills section.

Budget Draft

Initial state of a budget period before activation. Allows adjusting allocations without affecting actual calculations.

Budget Period

The time interval covered by a budget (weekly, biweekly, or monthly). Automatically detected from income frequency.

Budget Rollover

The unused (or exceeded) balance of a budget category carries over to the next period. If €50 remain in Restaurants, the next month starts with €50 extra. Requires Pro or Family plan.

Buffer

A small cash margin kept in the checking account to absorb unexpected expenses without overdrawing. Similar to an emergency fund but smaller and more accessible: covers days, not months.

Category

Classification of a transaction by its nature (Food, Transport, Home, etc.). The app includes 36 hierarchical categories by default (14 parents + 22 children). Managed in the Categories & Tags section.

Category Nature

Functional classification chosen when creating a category:

Close Period

The process at the end of a budget that calculates actual values, locks the period, and allows carrying over remaining or exceeded balances to the next one. Cannot be undone.

CloudKit

Apple's service enabling encrypted data synchronization between devices. The app uses it for multi-device sync (Pro) and Family Sharing (Family).

Closing Day

The day of the month when a credit card cuts its statement. Determines which transactions fall into each billing period.

Column Mapping

Import step where each file column is matched to a data field (date, amount, description, etc.). The app suggests automatically and allows manual adjustment.

Concept Drift

A significant change in spending pattern for a category over time. In the app it appears as "Spending change detected" when a category rises or drops more than 25%.

Cash Flow

What comes in minus what goes out over a period. Positive: surplus. Negative: dipping into savings or accumulating debt. The app calculates this automatically in projections.

Compound Interest

Interest that earns interest of its own. Over long periods it's the dominant force β€” both for savings (working in your favour) and debt (working against you). Small rate differences amplify significantly over time.

Confidence Level

Indicator showing how certain the app is about an automatic detection (categorization, detected bill, transfer). Expressed as High, Medium, or Low. Adjusts with each confirmation or rejection.

Currency Converter

Calculator available in More β†’ Currency Converter, supporting 30+ currencies. Exchange rate preview is free; each confirmed conversion uses 1 of the Free plan's weekly limit.

Dashboard

The app's main screen. Shows Financial Health, Net Worth, smart tips, and the accounts grid.

Debt Avalanche

Debt repayment strategy that prioritizes the debt with the highest interest rate. Mathematically the cheapest way out of debt, though psychologically harder than the snowball. The app calculates both strategies in the Goals section.

Debt Snowball

Debt repayment strategy that prioritizes the smallest debt to build psychological momentum with quick wins. More expensive than the avalanche but easier to stick with. The app calculates both strategies in the Goals section.

50/30/20 Rule

A budgeting method that splits income into three blocks: 50% for needs (rent, bills, food), 30% for wants (leisure, restaurants, treats), and 20% for savings and debt repayment. A starting point, not a law.

Deduplication

Automatic process that detects and skips transactions already in the app when importing a new file. Prevents recording the same transaction twice.

DTI (Debt-to-Income)

Measures what percentage of monthly income goes toward paying debts. In the app appears as "Debt Load" within Financial Health.

Early Repayment

An extraordinary payment that reduces outstanding loan principal ahead of schedule. The app detects these automatically. Two modes:

Equity

In the context of a loan linked to an asset (e.g., mortgage + property), the difference between asset value and outstanding debt. Indicates how much is truly owned.

Emergency Fund

Accessible money reserved to cover 3–6 months of essential expenses. Only touched for real emergencies (job loss, major repair, medical urgency). Can be managed with Pockets or Goals in the app.

Euribor

The European reference interest rate. It drives variable mortgage payments. When it rises, payments go up; when it falls, payments drop. Typically reviewed every 6 or 12 months depending on the contract.

EventKit

Apple framework that allows creating events in the device's native calendar. The app uses it to export recurring bills to the iOS calendar (Pro/Family).

Export Data

Function available in More β†’ Export Data to download financial data as CSV (all plans) or PDF (Pro/Family).

Family Sharing

Family plan function for managing finances together. The admin invites members, shares accounts, and assigns permissions (Read only, Can edit, Admin).

Family Vault

Intermediate security level encrypting data with AES-256, shareable between family members. Each member needs the shared passphrase to access. Requires Family plan.

Financial DNA

A system that analyzes actual behavior of each spending category, regardless of classification. Determines whether an expense is truly essential or discretionary based on history.

Financial Health (Health Score)

Indicator from 0 to 100 summarizing overall financial health. Calculated with up to 7 weighted factors: Budget, Savings, Bills, Trend, Stability, Debt Load, and Liquidity. Visible on the Dashboard as a circular gauge.

Goal

A financial objective with target amount and optional deadline. Each goal has an associated tag: any transaction marked with that tag contributes to progress. Accessed from the Goals section.

Gross and Net

Gross is the amount before taxes and contributions; net is what actually arrives in the account. In the app, detected payroll always corresponds to net income (what is effectively received).

Hide Amounts

Privacy function that replaces all amounts on screen with "β€’β€’β€’β€’β€’β€’". Enabled from Privacy & Security. Long-press 3 seconds to temporarily reveal.

High Spending Pace (Velocity)

Metric projecting whether the current spending pace allows reaching the next payday without issues. Calculated as: average spending over last 7 days Γ— days until payday. Appears as "High spending pace" when there's risk.

iCloud Sync

Function that uploads data to iCloud for backup (Free) or multi-device access (Pro/Family). Can be toggled on/off from More β†’ iCloud Sync. Disabling requires app restart.

Import History

Record of all imports performed, with date, source file, and number of transactions imported. Allows undoing a complete import if it was erroneous.

Import Profile

A saved configuration remembering how to map columns from a specific bank file. Applied automatically next time a file from the same bank is imported.

Inflation

The general and sustained rise in prices. If money doesn't grow at least at the pace of inflation, each year it buys less. Relevant when assessing whether the savings rate is sufficient.

Insight

An observation, alert, or recommendation the app generates automatically when it detects something relevant in the financial profile. Shown in the tip carousel on the Dashboard.

Invert Amounts

Import option ("My bank shows expenses as positive") that flips the sign of amounts. Needed when the bank shows expenses as positive numbers instead of negative.

Interest Rate

Annual percentage applied to outstanding loan principal. Can be Fixed (doesn't change), Variable (changes periodically based on an index), or Mixed (fixed for a time, then variable). The app tracks rate change history.

Liability (Passive)

A financial obligation or debt: loans, mortgages, credit card balances. In the app, Loan and Credit Card accounts are considered liabilities.

Linked Asset

A Property or Vehicle account associated with a loan. Allows calculating equity: asset value minus outstanding debt.

Liquidity

Ability to convert assets into available cash. In the app, measured as months of expenses that could be covered using only liquid assets. Appears as a factor in Financial Health.

App Lock

Protection requiring Face ID or passcode when returning to the app. Configurable as Immediate, After 1 minute, or After 5 minutes.

MDEF (Multi-Dimensional Expenditure Forecast)

Projection engine analyzing history by category considering regularity, stability, frequency, trend, and seasonality to predict future spending. Requires Pro/Family.

Minimum Payment

The lowest amount that can be paid on a credit card without defaulting. Paying only the minimum multiplies the total cost through accumulated interest and may mean the debt never actually shrinks.

Monthly Payment

Fixed payment made each month to amortize a loan. Includes a portion of principal and interest.

Movement (Transaction)

Any entry or exit of money recorded in an account. The main term used in the app. Viewed in the Transactions tab.

Net Worth

Total assets minus total liabilities. Indicates overall financial position. The app calculates it automatically by summing all accounts and converting to the primary currency. Visible on the Dashboard.

Overdraft

Spending below zero in a current account. Usually incurs very high fees and interest. The app detects it as a negative balance and reflects it in Financial Health.

Pay Yourself First

The principle of setting savings aside on payday, before spending anything else. Ensures saving doesn't depend on "what's left" at month's end. The app supports this with Pockets and Goals.

Payment Breakdown

In credit cards and loans, separation of a payment into components: capital (reduces debt), interest/fees, and taxes/insurance. Shows exactly how much actually reduces the debt.

Payment Mode

For credit cards, how the debt is paid: Full balance, Minimum payment, Revolving, or Installments. Varies by region.

Payroll

Main employment income. The app detects it automatically by analyzing recurring income patterns and suggests the frequency and approximate payday.

Pending Transfers

Section showing pairs of opposite transactions (one negative, one positive) that may be the same operation between own accounts. Waiting for user confirmation.

Period Deficit

When more is spent than budgeted in a period. On close, the app offers three options: carry to next period, cover from savings, or register as debt.

Personal Vault

Maximum security level. Data encrypted with Secure Enclave, accessible only with biometrics or personal passphrase. Not synced, not shared, irrecoverable if access is lost. Activating it automatically disables iCloud sync. Requires Pro or Family plan.

Pocket

A virtual compartment within a savings account. Allows dividing money into specific objectives (vacation, emergencies, etc.) without separate bank accounts. Accessed from a Savings account detail.

Primary Currency

The app's base currency, detected automatically from the device region. All totals, projections, and net worth are expressed in this currency.

Projection

Estimate of future spending based on history. The app needs at least 3 months of data to start projecting, improving accuracy with more history.

Purchasing Power

What money can actually buy once inflation is taken into account. If income doesn't keep pace with prices, purchasing power drops even though the balance stays the same.

Reconciliation

Process of verifying that transactions in the app match the bank statement. Facilitated by duplicate detection during import and the "Adjust Balance" function.

Refinance

Replacing an existing loan with a new one on better terms (lower rate, lower payment, or different duration). Useful when interest rates drop or creditworthiness improves.

Revalue (assets)

Updating the value of an asset like real estate or a vehicle. The app suggests revaluing when more than 6 months have passed since the last value update.

Revolving

Credit card payment mode where a fixed monthly amount is paid and the rest accrues interest.

Rule

An automatic instruction assigning a category, tag, or other action to future transactions matching a criterion. Possible actions: Set category, Add tag, Rename, Flag, Notify, Split, and Auto-approve. Managed in More β†’ Rules.

Savings Rate

Percentage of income not spent: (income - expenses) / income. In the app appears as "Savings" within Financial Health.

Secure Enclave

A dedicated chip in Apple devices storing cryptographic keys isolated from the system. The Personal Vault uses it to ensure the key never leaves the hardware.

Small Leak

Small, repeated expenses that go unnoticed individually but add up significantly by month's end. Examples: daily coffees, snacks, forgotten subscriptions. The app helps identify them through pattern detection.

Smart Import

Feature using Apple Intelligence (on-device processing) to analyze bank PDFs and extract transactions automatically. Requires iPhone 15 Pro or later and Pro/Family plan.

Subscription

Recurring payment for a service (Netflix, Spotify, gym, etc.). The app detects them automatically and tracks total monthly and annual spend. Managed in the Subscriptions section.

Sunk Cost

Money already spent that cannot be recovered. It should not influence future decisions, though psychologically it's hard to ignore. Example: continuing to pay for a gym membership not being used because "the sign-up fee was already paid".

Surplus

Money remaining after covering all expenses and allocations for the period. Can be reassigned to goals, pockets, or carried over.

Sync Conflict

Situation occurring when the same data is edited on two devices without connection. The app shows both versions (local vs remote) for the user to choose which to keep.

Tag

A flexible marker assignable to transactions for custom grouping (e.g., "Vacation 2026", "House project"). Unlike categories, tags are freeform and non-hierarchical. Managed in Categories & Tags.

Transfer

Movement of money between own accounts (e.g., checking to savings). Not considered real income or expense and excluded from totals, projections, and budgets. "Pending Transfers" shows detected pairs awaiting confirmation.

Vault

See *Family Vault* and *Personal Vault*.

Zero-Based Budgeting

A budgeting method where every monetary unit of income is assigned a purpose. At the end of the period, income minus allocations must equal zero.
